iMed: monitoring our health
Although medicine had a spectacular development in the last century, our chance to predict what our health status will look like within the next six months is (approximately) zero. That is, a part from clear-cut cases, we have no idea of how to measure objectively our mind-body health and how it may change in the next months.

One of our deepest conviction is that in order to extend our life-span the first thing scientists should do is find a way to assess what is good (and what is bad) for a given person, namely what in her way of life, environment, mental attitude could objectively raises her chances to live better and longer.

We hope that further improvements in genetic techniques and the development of nanoscience will lead us to an unpredictable extension of human life. But without an objective index of our efficiency, not even the fountain of youth could give us the way to fight indefinitely ageing and illness.
